The Creation Celebration is a family friendly conference that occurs in the end of Feb./beginning of March every year in North Battleford, SK. A lady organizes it for Creation Science of SK (CSSI). This year was our 2nd year to go. Here are some of the events!
We performed What Glasses Are You Wearing? and In the Beginning God. Josh gave a speech about the downfall of North America. We also sang a number of songs as a family.
On Saturday we did memory verses. Andrew recited Psalm 100. I recited John 1:1-14
Jesse recited 1 Peter 4
and Josh recited Romans 1:16-32.
These are some of the medals we received for doing speech arts, family music and Scripture recitation. Everyone that recited scripture also got vouchers to spend at the CSSI book table!
Anyone that plays an instrument practices with the orchestra and then performs the hymns which were arranged by the conductor.
And then is Bible Quizzing! There were four age level groups. The group Andrew was in joined the group I was in for a few quizzes. Everyone received numerous prizes from the prize table for their involvements in quizzing! It is “non-competitive” to encourage everyone to be involved.
Levi’s up to bat! The older kids group was a little more, uh, animated (competitive??) as you can see…
There were also tables of science experiments and projects.
The whole idea behind the day is to play godly music, memorize scripture and be able to speak well in front of others to share your faith. We had a great time and hope to go again next year!
Very animated and competitive! Good times…
