CWVFF 2018

Here is a few photos from the Christian Worldview Film Festival in Franklin Tennessee! Mom and I flew out on the 13th, to spend a week in the Nashville area, most of the time at the filmmakers guild and festival. We had a great time listening to speakers, meeting new people, and watching some great films.

To top it all off, Save Me and Derksen Family Farm Promo won runner up and winner in Young Filmmakers category! Praise the Lord!

Here are the two films that won awards.

Graduation!

Micah graduated at the home education convention in Regina on February 25. He will officially graduate later this spring.

Yesterday morning at 12:54 a.m., Joshua & Shaylyn’s baby, Joanna Shaylyn Derksen was born. She weighs 7 lb, 8 oz and is 21 inches long.

Heidi was able to come join them on her breaks. Most of our family got there around 9:30 a.m. to visit. Levi met Joanna later in the day.

“Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.“

New Years Activities

Here are some pictures of activities that we have done this season. We have been kept busy having an extended family gathering at our house, doing a bunch of outside activities and hosting a New years gathering with our friends from church.

Merry Christmas

Our family did a number of concerts over Christmas but had not gotten around to taking a family picture. We noticed this nice sign at one of the churches so we quickly took a picture after a concert.

Isaiah 9:6-7
