Fishing Trip!

On June 15, we went up to Big River for a Father-son fishing trip with our church. We caught many fish as a group but only kept a few.  The biggest fish caught was about 30 inches and the smallest was about 12 inches (that made it into the boat).

Matthew 13:47-50. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Filming at the Lake

On August 31, our family and friends from two other families went up to the lake to make a short film called Set Free. Here are some pictures:

Pushed off!

Splash! Pushed off the dock!

Driving the boat

Here I am driving the boat with Dad hidden from view. I was going off to fish.

Oops! When we were trying to film this scene, the bully was supposed to be tipping the guy in the kayak, but, he accidentally tipped himself in the process!

We had lots of fun filming. Now Micah is going on to the editing stage!

Yesterday we had our first skate for the winter on our pond. It was really fun. Here are some pictures.Getting our skates on!

Getting our skates on!

We asked Dad when he had just woken up if we could skate on the pond which had just frozen over and he said we had to wear life jackets because the ice was only 3 inches  thick….even though the pond is only about 4 feet deep:)

We had a lot of fun out in God’s creation!

Christopher Lake…Our Uncle and Aunt’s Cabin

Last Sunday, after playing for a community service in Laird, our family packed up to go to the lake. Heidi had been unable to go with us on our trip to BC/Washington earlier this summer so this was to be our whole family together. Some of us stayed until Wednesday. Josh and Levi came back early Tuesday morning to work but at least our family was all together for a couple of days.

Some of the things we enjoyed doing were: water skiing, wakesurfing (you go right behind the boat), knee boarding, paddle boarding, attempting wakeboarding,  fishing and, of course special family devotional times.

Everybody, but Andrew and Mom skiied, and most of us tried dropping a ski when up.

do I want to get in the water?

Do I really want to get cold?
