On September 15-17, Mom, Andrew, and I and some friends from Manitoba, went to the Alberta Conservatory for Christian Film Makers. This was the second time we have gone, and we had a great time and even mom enjoyed the camping (she slept in the van while us 4 guys tented)!

The speaker line-up this year was quite good.

Brett Varvel: House of Grace Films– The Board, The War Within, and upcoming film Disciples in the Moonlight

Joel Steege: Little Crew Studios– Runner from Ravenshead, The Defense of New Haven

Greg & Dallas Lammiman: Moviemakers– Remember, My Grandpa Detective, and upcoming film Mayflower II

Kurtis Kristianson: Spindrift Photography- Fort Mac Samaritan’s Purse interviews, Adventure photography

Ted Byfield- journalist, started Alberta Report,  helped put together Christian history books

I entered two films into the 3-minute festival. They both were finalists, and Education Without Limits won The Best Documentary award.

I will hopefully get a behind the scenes post up soon for A True Witness.
